The Father's Heart

Posted by thechurchatbethel on April 6, 2007 at 4:12 PM

In the Father's grand design of things and after the fall of man, the Father had a plan to get us back where He intended for us to be. His Son Jesus Christ became our way. The only way to the Father. In the Word of God you will find many expressions. Hebrew, Greek, and English words come short of expressing the Father's love. Loving kindness, tender mercies, agape love, all only give us a glimpse of how the Father feels about us.

Khesed is a Hebrew word which comes very close. It means God saying something like, "I have you so deep in my heart that I am on fire to do whatever it takes to bless you!"

Ephesians 3:18, "what is the breadth and the length and the depth and the height of the love of Christ."

In Acts 12, Herod had already executed James and was in the process of taking Peter's life next. Inprisoned with 16 Roman guards around the clock, the Word says, "Prayer was made without ceasing for him of the church." God sent an angel and opened the prison and led Peter out. There is the overwhelming knowledge that somebody is praying for me. No chains, no prison bars, and no judicial order of the kingdom of darkness can prevail against those who pray. Thank you for your prayers!
Pastor

Thanks you guys for all the support. I could not press through without you. I like the feedback. It helps me focus more clearly on the vision while keeping me on track.

Pastor Wayne
